What does "AI-native" actually mean here?
It means your assistant is trained to operate an AI stack as part of the job, not just handed a chatbot. Drafting in your voice, summarizing research, cleaning data in bulk. Work that used to take an afternoon takes minutes. You are still hiring a person. The AI is what makes one person cover more ground.
Is AI doing the work, or is a person?
A person. Your assistant uses AI the way a designer uses Photoshop. It speeds up the work, it does not do the job unsupervised. Nothing is sent on autopilot, and your assistant reviews every output before it reaches you or a client.
Do I get a DonutJobs account?
No. This is a fully managed service: you get an assistant and a success manager, not software. The DonutJobs hiring platform is a separate product and is not included in this retainer.
Why does this cost so much less than a US hire or an agency?
Two reasons. We are not a recruiting agency, so there is no sourcing project to fund and no recruiter margin to pay. Your assistant is already in our pre-tested pool. And your assistant runs an AI stack, so the same person covers ground that used to take more hours. You pay for the assistant and our management of them, and nothing else.
Who employs the assistant?
We do. Your assistant is contracted and paid through DonutJobs. You never become the employer, never handle a foreign contractor agreement, and never make an international payment. You receive one invoice.
Where are the assistants based?
The Philippines and Latin America. Latin America gives you same-day overlap with US business hours; the Philippines is the deepest pool for executive support and covers early US mornings.
Do they work US hours?
Yes. We agree the overlap you need before you start, and match you with an assistant who works it, Eastern through Pacific.
What experience do your Executive Assistants have?
Our assistants have supported founders and senior management directly. The Senior EA tier is five or more years supporting C-level, with complex calendar management, travel coordination and confidential work.
What about my data and confidentiality?
Assistants sign confidentiality terms and we will accommodate your own NDA and security requirements. We agree which tools and which AI services are in scope for your account before your assistant starts, so nothing sensitive goes anywhere you have not approved.
What if it does not work out?
Three things protect you. You can take your money back within the first 14 days. We replace your assistant free within the first 90 days. And you can cancel on 30 days notice at any point, with no minimum term.
